In 2005, Gallery Hotel and Creative Industries Singapore co-presented a unique region-wide competition / workshop entitled 'Creative Youth Xchange @ Gallery Hotel', most probably the first event of its kind in the world. Following this creative exchange, Gallery Hotel now permanently showcases 19 CYX Boutique rooms and suites. Based on the theme 'Five Walls, Defying Definitions', every CYX Boutique room expresses its designer's unique interpretation of space.

From October to December 2009, Gallery Hotel was the film set and home to TV crew, contestants, hosts and guest celebrities during the making of HP Space, Asia’s first original reality TV show. Amongst the creative challenges given to contestants in the show was an interior design challenge which saw the re-design of three rooms at Gallery Hotel, hence giving birth to a brand new category of rooms called HP Space Rooms.
