The annual Singapore Food Festival is an important and well-celebrated culinary event for notable local chefs, recognising their talents through a showcase of the unique and tasty local dishes.

Comprising of a week-long line-up of events, themed celebrations, workshops and other activities, the festival is definitely the route to a gastronomic journey of local fare that distinguishes Singapore as the food capital of Asia.

Among the top local dishes that have been singled out on a nation-wide basis is the Hainanese Chicken Rice which is served at Chatterbox – Home of the legendary Mandarin Chicken Rice. Visitors from all over the world make regular pilgrimages to enjoy the authentic recipe and time-honoured taste of our award-winning chicken rice, which already is a household name amongst locals.

Bar On 5

Bar on 5 is the ideal place to chill out and unwind after a hard day’s work. Located five floors above Orchard Road, it provides a fabulous view of the shopping belt. The beverage menu features an array of spirited cocktails, acclaimed wines, premium whiskies and specialty coffees.

In particular, look out for a wide selection of single malt whiskies from brands such as The Macallan, Highland Park and Laphroaig; and specialty coffees including Amaretto, Beatrice and Messicano.

Complementing the beverage menu is a variety of light bites. Assorted Sashimi, Fresh Oysters and Mandarin Fried Chicken Wings are sure to go down well with all.

Chatterbox

When Mandarin Orchard Singapore first commenced operations in August 1971, it also opened its 24-hour coffeehouse, Chatterbox. From the beginning, Chatterbox was the talk of the town. Its menu featured a spread of local hawker fare, including the legendary Mandarin Chicken Rice, which was the first for any hotel dining outlet in Singapore.

Most recently, Chatterbox opened its new premises on Level 5 of the hotel with a modern and refreshing look. Done up in earthy hues of green and beige, the restaurant still retains its emphasis on family dining, remaining dedicated to both retaining its current customers and, at the same time, attracting new ones.

Feast on the award-winning Mandarin Chicken Rice, along with other signature favourites such as Mandarin Lobster Laksa, Nasi Lemak, Herbal Bak Kut Teh, Mandarin Coconut Ice Cream and many more!

Coffee & Crust

Arrive at Level 5 and chances are the aroma of coffee and something baking in the oven is wafting through the air. Coffee & Crust is both a deli and a coffee bar which will satisfy every craving.

Choose from an alluring array of cakes, tarts, pastries, cookies and pralines. The decadent Chocolate Mud Cake is an irresistible sweet treat. For a lighter lift, try the Japanese Baked Cheese Cake. It also serves up savouries which include the fragrant Shiitake Mushroom Pie, the traditional Chicken Curry Puff, and the healthy Salmon and Leek Quiche.

Pair them with a cup of hot or iced coffee made from premium Italian brand, illy, which is known to harbour a range of flavours from fruity to flowery. Its rich body is known to wrap the palate and give off a pleasing sensation.

Observation Lounge

The Observation Lounge exudes a sophisticated yet relaxed club environment with an enchanting view of Singapore’s bustling cityscape.

From a tempting array of flavourful bite-sized Tapas, to delectable afternoon tea delights, the Observation Lounge is the perfect venue for an afternoon tête-à-tête or an important discussion with business partners. Otherwise, simply unwind in the evenings with our specially concocted cocktails over soothing entertainment music.

Pine Court Chinese Restaurant

Head up 35 stories of the Orchard Wing and arrive in style at Pine Court Chinese Restaurant, the home of authentic Cantonese cuisine.

Traditional recipes take on a refreshing interpretation featuring signature dishes such as Classic Peking Duck, Baked Champagne-glazed Rib with Lily Bud and Fried Rice with Fish Roe and Crab Meat.

Triple Three

Triple Three is back. Named for the address of the hotel – 333 Orchard Road – it features a new Japanese-inspired international buffet spread, helmed by Japanese Executive Chef Shigeru Akashi.

Embark on a culinary adventure with more than 100 dishes to choose from, spread out over a W-shaped buffet counter which includes the freshest Sashimi and Sushi, Tempura, Kushiage and Teppanyaki Grill. It also prides itself on having a premium Roast section featuring dishes such as the tender Australian Rib-eye of Beef and luscious, slow-roasted Australian Rib-eye of Wagyu Beef.

Complementing the hot savoury dishes are refreshing cold cuts and salads, as well as seafood on ice. Top off the meal with a wide spread of tempting desserts. Indulge in the Mandarin Cheese Cake, Assorted Pralines and rich creamy ice cream, just to name a few.

Otherwise, sparkle up your Sundays with brunch, with a free flow of the premium sparkling wine, Chandon Brut and Chandon Rosé, from Australia’s renowned Domaine Chandon winery, established in the Yarra Valley of Victoria by champagne house, Moët & Chandon.

Because Sunday is family day, Triple Three also welcomes kids to join in the indulgence. A section has been specially set aside to be a play area for the young ones. Expect activities such as face painting, balloon sculpting and storytelling to keep them enthralled and entertained.
